Big Fat Lie !

The last 5 years have been the greatest awakening of my life. I was born in 71 and grew up pretty much accepting what I was taught in School and Universities along the way. I ran with this knowledge and propagated this information for almost 10 years as a “Beef Specialist” for Alberta Agriculture. I never questioned the information, nor the propaganda that I was telling producers. However, when natural immunity was vilified during the Covid propaganda war that’s when I really woke up and started to see how everything we have been told and sold to is a Big fat Lie! Worse yet, it’s all connected. For the last 50 years Big Agriculture and Big Food have waged a quiet war on our nutrition, and most of us, myself included, never saw it coming. They told us butter was bad, beef fat would kill us, and that chemically-altered, GMO lab-born oils like canola, soybean, and corn oil were somehow the better choice. We swapped tallow for margarine, eggs for cereal, and real food for hyper-processed convenience.

The result? Skyrocketing rates of heart disease, obesity, diabetes, autoimmune disorders, and infertility. And still, they tell us to eat less red meat and more “vegetable oil.” Spoiler: there are no vegetables in vegetable oil. These seed oils; canola, soybean, corn, sunflower; are ultra-processed industrial byproducts, extracted with high heat and solvents like hexane, deodorized to hide their rancid smell, and loaded into nearly every processed food in the grocery store. Think you’re avoiding them? Think again. They’re the backbone of

  • Margarine and “buttery spreads”
  • Mayonnaise and salad dressings
  • Crackers, chips, cookies, frozen meals, even “health” bars
  • Even baby food and formulas

These are ultra-processed Frankenfood packed with seed oils, flavor enhancers, synthetic vitamins, binders, and unpronounceable ingredients. They require heavy industrial input, fossil fuels, and chemical wizardry to even resemble food. These fats are high in unstable omega-6 fats, which disrupt your cellular health, increase inflammation, and are directly linked to metabolic and chronic diseases. And yet, we were told they were “heart healthy.” Why? Because these oils are cheap to produce, profitable to sell, and they keep the industrial food machine running. Our grandparents cooked with butter, lard, and tallow; fats that are nutritionally sound, thermally stable, and rich in fat-soluble vitamins like A, D, E, and K2. But thanks to a combination of poor science, lobbying, and marketing, those traditional fats were villainized; while fake fats were branded as salvation, just like Kill Gates and the Silicon Valley synthetic meat movement.

Solar non GMO Finished Beef!

The truth is, grass-fed beef tallow is one of the most nourishing and stable cooking fats we can use and cook with. It doesn’t oxidize under heat, it provides essential fatty acids, CLA, and fat-soluble nutrients, and it comes from real food—not chemical extraction facilities. We’ve been lied to for decades about what’s “healthy.” That lie has fueled an epidemic of diet-driven disease. Ditch the fake fats. Cook like the good old days, with real real food, and cook with animal fats because everything else is just a big fat lie.

Having previously been enslaved to the retail and foodservice distribution system we are proud to say that 99% of our sales are direct to consumers. It’s a true pasture to plate food chain connecting the rancher and the consumer with no pimps in between. We only supply one retailer in Kitimat, “Kyles No Frills”, and one restaurant “The Barley Station” in Salmon Arm. We also have one special customer that has a flair for Adventure like we have here on the ranch: “Weber Arctic”. The Weber family and the Weder family have been friends for almost 20 years now and we are proud that we have served our beef and bison for many years in their lodge on Somerset Island in Nunavut during the short summer season up there. This year we started supplying their new lodge in BC’s mountain backcountry at Battle Abbey Lodge based out of Revelstoke “Weber Powder”. The link below is a recent writeup they did on us and it’s a great story to our new customers about BisonGuy and how it all got started. Two families the Weders and The Webers that have brought together Canadian landscapes and Canadian Food and showcasing it to the world.
